Acupuncture is an ancient healing technique based on the activity of energetic systems that promotes the circulation of one's own vital force called "Chi" in oriental medicine. Ailments in the body occur when the "Chi" is imbalanced or blocked. By stimulating certain points in the body with acupuncture needles normal balance and flow of Chi can be restored. This sets the stage for the body to repair and strengthen itself, prevent disease, control pain, calm the mind and maintain one's own health.

What can acupuncture do to help?

Many ailments are caused due to living in an unbalanced, polluted environment. The human body reacts adversely to a wide array of toxins that are present everyday in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat and the attitudes we have. Among many ailments those most frequently treated are as follows:

  • Addictions
  • Allergies
  • Arm and shoulder Pain
  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Back Pain -- Backache --- Lower Back Pain
  • Cold
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Infertility
  • Insomnia
  • Knee Pain
  • Neck stiffness
  • PMS
  • Shoulder Pain
  • Sinus Trouble
  • Sports Injuries …etc

How many treatments needed and how often?

Because each patient's health problems and response to treatment are unique, the number and frequency of treatments vary. Recommendation is two to three treatments per week for several weeks in the case of chronic conditions. Some patients respond favorably after only one or two treatments. In general, acute conditions require less treatment than chronic condition.
